Total turn (Cupola)
The Total Tour Cupola (in the past Turn Elf of 1985 to 1999, then Turn Total-Fina-Elf of 1999 to 2003, also named Total Turn , although this term indicates an old tower demolished since) is a Gratte-ciel of offices located in the district of businesses of Defense, in France (precisely with 2 place de la Coupole, with Courbevoie,). Currently, this one shelters part of the offices of the oil company Total. They were before the old offices of Elf Aquitaine.
Built in 1985, it is about the most skyscraper of Defense and second French after the Tour Montparnasse. The Tower Total Cupola is 190 m high. The roof is located at 187 m of the ground and supports a small room of telecommunication a height from approximately 3 Mr. the site of the tower in the beginning was designed to accommodate the twin tower of the Tour Areva, finally ever built.
The Tower Total Cupola belongs to the 3rd generation of towers to Defense. Its architects thus could take account of the errors made for the turns of 2nd generation (Tour Gan, Tour AXA, Tour Areva). Thus, all the offices of the tower are of first day and it integrates a good management of energy saving (glazings insulating, management of energy consumption).
It is made up of 5 coupled towers the ones with the others. If highest counts 48 stages, the two following ones comprise 37 and 44 of them.
The code name of the site of the tower in the layout plan of Defense was CB2.
