Biography of Tornado

Ororo (what wants to say beauty) Munroe is the girl of a African princess of a tribe of the Kenya. Although Ororo never developed this talent, these ancestors have a natural gift for sorcery. His/her father is a journalist American photographer, David Munroe. His/her parents fall in love and marry and settle in the United States. Ororo is born with New York then follows his/her parents, at the six months age to settle with the Cairo, in Egypt.

A few years later, at the time of the Crisis of Suez Canal, a bomb destroys its house and kills his/her parents. Ororo is found captive of the debris, under the lifeless body of its mom. She leaves completely upset this experiment and develops even a severe Claustrophobie. Ororo finishes its childhood in the streets, living flights under the supervision of a Master robber named Achmed el-Gibar. It becomes expert as a pickpocket, burglings and flights in any kind. It will briefly cross the pr. Xavier at that time.

Teenager, Ororo discovers her capacity to control the elements. She ends up leaving Egypt to be adulated like a goddess in a tribe of Black Africa. It is there that the Professor Xavier finds it and invites it to join X-Men in the United States. Ororo accepts and takes the name of Tornado (Storm in original version).

Although Ororo has some problems to be acclimatized, it binds friendship with its team-members. It appears as temporary chief of X-Men when Cyclops leaves the group temporarily (he will do it several times). When the young person Étincelle is recruited by Xavier, it approaches it immediately, practically regarding it as her daughter.

Tornado meets then deep changes of personality. Whereas X-Men fight a race Extra-terrestre and spend one long period far from the Earth, it becomes more aggressive and more violent. It transforms its appearance, gets dressed out of leather after its meeting with Yukio, a friend of Wolverine, young ronin. What causes to cut it Spark. Super capacities

Tornado has the capacity transferring to control the elements. By the thought, it can act on various factors of the climate:

to cause the appearance or the disappearance of the Wind, a simple breeze until a destroying Storm
to start precipitations of all kinds: fine Rain, tropical downpour, Snow, Hail…
to act on the Temperature by making it descend or assemble quickly
to act on the visibility by creation of Cloud S hiding the sun or of Fog thick
to cause destruction thanks to the Storm S and to the flash S which it can generate

At the time of the missions which it achieves, in particular with X-Men, Tornade always an attack adapted to its target chooses not to destroy it. Thus, for human or a creature of average force, it will cause stun elements (fog, freezing cold, strong wind) so that other X-Men can neutralize the adversary. In the case of major force, enormous storms accompanied by powerful flashes are necessary. In this case, Tornade can push its capacities to the maximum.

Its body also adapts to the atmospheric conditions which it generates. If the weather is very cold, the body of Ororo will have a very high temperature, which could make it sink in hyperthermia. Its vision, able to see through the downpours which it starts, is largely higher than that of human normal, even that of a pilot. It should be noted that in their normal state, the eyes of Ororo are split like those of the cats. When it uses its capacities to the maximum, its pupil and its iris become translucent, with the result that it has the entirely white eyes.

By controlling the direction and the power of the wind in a very precise way, Tornade acquired the capacity to fly. It can rise in the airs with facility and move as it hears it. From this manner, it can escape the adversaries which would approach too much close to it and which cannot inevitably follow it while flying. The other possibility of defense is to reveal quickly a thick clouds or fog which hide it with the eyes of all.

In the years 1990, Tornade belongs to the televised series of animation X-Men and makes some appearances in the televised animated series of the adventures of Spider-Man.

In the televised series X-Men: Evolution , Tornade is presented as professor of the Institute of the young mutants of Professor Xavier.

Halle Berry interprets the role of Tornado in the adaptations cinema of X-Men. Nevertheless, Tornade is not a central figure in these adaptations, contrary to Wolverine or Jean Grey. For this reason Halle Berry failed to refuse to take again the role in the third opus.
