Torak (Žitište)

Torak , in Serb Cyrillic Торак, is a locality of Serbia located in the autonomous province of Voïvodine. It belongs to the municipality of Žitište in the district of the central Banat. In 2002, it counted: 2850 inhabitants, of which a majority of Rumanian.
Torak, officially classified among the villages of Serbia, geographically consists of two villages: Mali Torak and Veliki Torak . Formerly, the locality was called Begejci .
