Tool (river)

The Tools , as the Blanche are not affluents of the Lawe, but the separation of this one in two rivers.

This separation is done after the mill of Gosnay. The two branches meet today in the level of the mill of Annezin. These branches were intended until the end of the XIXe century for the setting in water of the fortifications of the town of Béthune. Tools, after Gosnay, crosses Fouquereuil and the marsh of Annezin. The White one after Gosnay, crosses Fouquières-lès-Béthune, joined the marsh of Annezin and the Brette to form one river, Lawe again.
