Tony Tony Chopper is a character of the Manga One Piece .

Chopper is a reindeer which ate the Fruit of Human the ( Hito Hito No semi ). He suffered in his past because of this difference compared to the other reindeers and was treated of monster by the human ones. Luffy takes it in its crew in order to have a doctor on board and also because it finds that to change appearance, it is too the Class.

History

Its childhood

Chopper was born on Drum, an island constantly snow-covered of the Route of all the dangers. It was put at the variation by its congeneric because it had a blue nose, abnormal thing for a reindeer. Later, he ate the Fruit of Human the ( Hito Hito No semi ), which enabled him to be metamorphosed as a man with various degrees (it is a Zoan fruit). That was worth the final expulsion of the herd to him. It thus went to seek hospitality near the human ones but accepted only leads, its appearance making think of a monstre.
Whereas it was failing, it was found and looked after by the doctor Hiluluk, one of the rare dissidents to the tyrannical mode of Wapol, the King of the island of Drum. Hiluluk gave him its name and accommodated it at his place as an assistant. He became almost like a father for the young reindeer and taught its philosophy of life to him based on the possibility of curing all the diseases and on the worship of the " Jolly Roger" as a symbol of freedom and force against the injustices. They were going from house in house in order to look after the patients who did not accommodate them most of the time very cordially (Hiluluk had the reputation to be a charlatan and it is true that it was it more than doctor).

One day, Hiluluk learned that it had nothing any more but ten day to live because of a terminal illness. In order to avoid a too great sorrow with Chopper, it expelled it without explanation of at his place. Little time after, learned Chopper the truth and tried to recover a mushroom which could, thought it, to look after Hiluluk. After a combat against another reindeer (it broke its left wood), it recovered famous mushroom and gave it to Hiluluk. Although knowing mushroom was actually mortal, it manga, touched by the sensitivity of the reindeer. It party then for castle of Wapol, the dictator of the island, and was exploded there with a kind of special potion. It is because Hiluluk him taught that people who live under the symbol of the death's-head (i.e. pirates) are large people, that Chopper believed that the mortal mushroom was good against the diseases (there was a death's-head at side in its book of medicinal plants).

Chopper was then recovered by the doctor Kureha, a colleague of Hiluluk, which continued to form the reindeer with medicine during 6 years. After the escape of the tyrant Wapol, Chopper and Kureha settled in the royal castle and lived there in quasi-autarky, seldom going down from their mountain to look after the inhabitants of Drum in exchange of supply.

Meet with " Hat of Paille"

When that Luffy and Sandy met Chopper for the first time, they had both the idea to eat it! But when Luffy realized of the capacity of metamorphosis of Chopper, it decided to incorporate it in its crew as a doctor. Initially reticent, Chopper remembered the wish of Hiluluk which wanted that they travel throughout the world and live of large adventures. It then chooses to join the Straw hat after having overcome Wapol, of return on the island of Drum.

Life at sea

On board the Merry Vogue, it very quickly bound friendship with Pipo, the mechanic-liar of the crew and they beat even together the duet Mr. 4/Miss Merry-Christmas on the island of Alabasta. They form both a complementary duet at the time of the engagements, Chopper bringing its physical power and Pipo its ingeniousness. He was very pained at the time of the departure of Pipo of the crew because of a disagreement between Luffy and this last in connection with the Merry Vogue. Just like Luffy, it did not recognize Pipo when that this one was disguised in Sogeking. Credulous just like Luffy, Chopper believes in quasi-all the lies of Pipo, so much so that this last is astonished some.

Techniques

Chopper is the doctor of the crew. Formed by Doctor Hiluluk then by Doctor Kureha on the island of Drum, it has a great knowledge in the field of medicine and in the preparation of various remedies and drugs, indeed Drum was famous as being the island where was the best doctors of the world. It has also faculty to communicate with the animals what appears useful all along the adventure (indeed, Chopper is initially a reindeer before being human). But it also proves to be an excellent combatant.

The trouble in the engagements, it is that in spite of its phenomenal force, Chopper is a large yellowbelly. Because of that, he often flees of the confrontations which he could gain!

Base forms

He ate the Fruit of Human ( Hito Hito No Semi ) which is a Fruit of the Demon of the Zoan type. That enables him to have three basic transformations:

Walk Not (脚力強化 (ウォークポイント)): It with the appearance of a simple reindeer. It uses this form to travel on long distances, to run and pass incognito in a city for example. It is its form first
Brain Point (頭脳強化 (ブレーンポイント)): It is the form which it uses generally in particular when it is with the crew of " Hat of Paille". This transformation is between the appearance of a reindeer and that of human. It is small, on its two legs and with a surdimmentionnée head what gives him the aspect of a cuddly toy very Kawaii. It has a great dexterity in this form, which is of course essential in its role of doctor.
Heavy Not (重量強化 (ヘビーポイント)): It is its form more " humaine" that it uses primarily at the time of the engagements. It resembles then a very musculeux colossus, but guard its nose blue and a rather animal head.

Rumble Ball

Whereas it was on the island of Drum, Chopper developped at the point a strange pill: the Rumble Ball . These pills disturb the effects of the Fruits of the Demon and allow him, during three minutes, to have access to four other transformations in addition to the three usual ones. There is extremely to bet that Chopper designed this pill only for him and as that does not go as well with the other people having of the Fruits of the Demon . It is dangerous to introduce several Rumble Ball of at a stretch, two consecutive disturbs the transformations which become less powerful and random then, whereas three of at a stretch transforms Chopper into a gigantic monster (Horn-Point kind in ten times larger). This transformation also makes lose the reason with Chopper which starts to attack all that moves.

Jumping-Point (飛力強化 (ジャンピングポイント)) : Chopper acquires legs of reindeers in the place of its legs which are then able to make very great jumps. This form enables him to dodge the blows easily.
Guard-Point (毛皮強化 (ガードポイント)): Chopper acquires an enormous fur (sheep kind) which can stop all the physical attacks.
ARM-Point (腕力強化 (アームポイント)): Chopper acquires enormous arms which enable him to give blows of shoes surpuissants. It is in this form that it developed the majority of its attacks.
Horn-Point (角強化 (ホーンポイント)): Chopper acquires gigantic wood very sharp.
Monster-Point : After having swallowed three Rumble Ball in less than 6 a.m., Chopper becomes gigantic and completely insane, nothing can resist its incredible force any more. The other side of the coin is that the madness makes it unable to distinguish his/her friends from its enemies. Moreover, Chopper becomes exhausted quickly in this form.

The sharp shoes of the ARM-Point are so powerful that they can break steel.

Others

Chopper is approximately 15 years old, even if its appearance Kawaii renovates it.
Being in the past an animal, Chopper can include/understand the other animals, and their speech, which appears very practical.
to tease it, Sandy will continue to call Chopper " the reserve of emergency food ".
Chopper broke its left wood during a combat against another reindeer. Doctor Hiluluk reassembled the two pieces with an end of metal and 2 screws.
the name " Tony Tony Chopper" , given by Hiluluk, comes from " Tonakai" (" Reindeer in Japonais"), and of " Chopper" (" hachoir" in English) in the idea where it can easily uprooted the trees thanks to his force.
Its appearance of animal enables him to pass incognito and not to be not taken with serious by these adversaries, thus taking them by surprise.
Chopper is extremely sensitive to the flattery. It tries to hide its joy by insulting that which complimented it but this subterfuge is not very effective so much it is happy.
Chopper forgets perpetually that he is the doctor of the band and he always calls a doctor when somebody is wounded.
Chopper was born on December 24th.
It appears for the first time in the manga with the volume 15, chapter 134, even if at this time, one is tempted to believe that it is an ordinary reindeer
After the arc Enies Lobby, Tony Tony Chopper has an research opinion of 50 berry. The Navy regards it only as the pet of the crew, from where the very weak premium on its head.
Chopper is naive, it believes all that one says to him.
