Tony Jacklin

Tony Jacklin , born the July 7th 1944 with Scunthorpe, is a Golf or English

Larger British player of its time, it gains two Majeurs, the British Open 1969, title which had escaped the British for 18 years, then, the following year, US Open which him had not been gané any more by one of its comaptriotes since 1920.

But it is especially for its implication in the Ryder Cup that it will remain in the history of the golf, with an entry in the hall off famed in 2002. It first of all defends the colors of the team of the United Kingdom and Ireland into 1967,1969,1971,1973,1975 and 1977, then of Europe in 1979. Then, later, it takes the responsability for the European team for the editions of 1983 to 1989.
