Tony Bennett

Tony Bennett , of his true name Anthony Dominick Benedetto (born on August 3rd 1926 in the Queens with New York) is a Italian-American singer of traditional pop music, and especially of Jazz, considered by much as one of the best interpreters of last century in these two musical registers.

Biography

Tony Bennett grew by listening to singers such as Al Jolson, Eddie Cantor, Judy Garland, Bing Crosby, as well as singers of jazz like Louis Armstrong, Jack Teagarden and Joe Venuti. One of his/her uncles was a dancer of Claquettes in light comedy S. All these factors very early gave to the Tony young person openings on the world of the Show business. Thus, as of the 10 years age, the Tony young person starts to sing, and returns finally in the High School off Industrial Art to New York, where he studies at the same time the Musique and the Peinture.

After having been an artistic and commercial success in the years 1950 and 1960, its career underwent a long bad patch during the period of success of the Rock. However, Tony Bennett made a success of a remarkable come-back in the years 1980 and 1990, by conquering a younger public while keeping his intact musical style. There remains a popular singer and very appreciated in the Années 2000.

Tony Bennett is also a very good painter.
