Toni Ortelli

Antonio " Toni" Ortelli (born the November 25th 1904 with Schio, Italy, dead the March 3rd 2000 with Schio) was a mountaineer Leader and Italian Compositeur of the Piedmont.

Ortelli is well-known for its song " Montanara " (The Mountain one) that it composed in 1927 while being on an excursion in the mountains. Ortelli wrote the principal melody and the text; Then Luigi Pigarelli added following melodies to harmonize the song for a chorus. " Montanara" was translated in 148 languages until today. ----
