Analyzes

This manga published in November 1983 is located between Dragon Servant boy and Dragon Ball and has much characteristic of Dr.Slump (For example, Tongpoo is, just like Aralé, a robot). Following the example Dragon Servant boy which influenced the series headlight of Toriyama, the adventures of Tongpoo show us also some elements which will be found in Dragon Ball . One will be able to say that Dragon Servant boy is during moyenâgeux of Dragon Ball , while Tongpoo is during technological. Indeed, in this history, one finds the famous capsules Hopoï and the goal (acknowledged well later in Dragon Ball ) of the characters of Tongpoo and Songoku is similar: to colonize planets. The duet, young girl sexy with character the soaked and young boy naive and invincible, is also exploited in these three mangas. The author also develops in this history a topic several times approached in his pages: frustrations and fear of the opposite sex. Here, nudity causes such a timidity that it ends up changing of fear. Blow, the opposite individuals of sex have evil to communicate. Except if the boy or the girl is too naive to realize that there are their differences. Often caused by a latent perversity, this fear of the opposite sex refers to this period of adolescence or the boys remain with the boys and the girls with the girls. The case of Yamcha and Bulma at the beginning of Dragon Ball is the best example. When the characters are not to touch by this fear, he then becomes naive children obsessed by the anal stage. All in all, in the work of Toriyama, all the characters have obsessions. Even Songoku which at the beginning seems pure, becomes one obsessed of the baston.
