Tommy James y el Shondells

AVUS is the first autobahn (Autoroute) built in the world.

In 1909, company AVUS (Automobil-Verkehrs- und Übungs-Straße GMBH) begins the studies of a fast automobile road of ten Kilomètre S two-track length separated, which will be built in a sand moor in a suburb with the western of Berlin. Its startup took place the September 25th 1921.

The AVUS was used as circuit for the automobile Grand Prix of Germany of 1926 and 1959; this last edition was gained by Tony Brooks at the wheel of a Ferrari.
