Tommy Banks
honourable the Thomas Benjamin (Tommy) Banks , O.C, LL.D. (born the December 17th 1936) is a pianist, leader, arranger, type-setter, personality of television and Canadian senator .
Born with Calgary (Alberta), he moves with Edmonton in 1949 where he resides always today. He is stimulating of The Tommy Banks Show with the television CBC of 1968 with 1983. He is named with the Senate on the recommendation of the Prime Minister Jean Chrétien in 2000; he represents the senatorial division of Edmonton. He sits under the banner of the Liberal party and chairs the Committee permananent Senate on Energy, the environment and the natural resources.
In 1991, it is made Officier of the Ordre of Canada. In 1993, it receives the Order of excellence of Alberta.
