The tomatille ( Ground cherry philadelphica ) is small a green Tomate sometimes purpurescente covered by a veil which tears when the fruit is ripe.
Synonym: Ground cherry ixocarpa auct. not Brot. ex Hornem.
It is called also tomatillo of Mexico , his odor is rather characteristic of the variety because she points out a little " the cheese well fait" , it sticks to the fingers.
Its use in the kitchen is rudimentary and condiment. One can make it cook with ratatouilles but take guard with the bitter taste…
