Tom Wilkinson is a British actor born on December 12th, 1948. He is officer of the Ordre of the British Empire.

Biography

Personal life

From its true name Thomas Jeffery Wilkinson, it was born in Leeds. When it was young, it left with its family to Canada, but it then returned to England where it was graduate University of Kent, then it joined the Royal Academy off Dramatic Art. Wilkinson lives in London with his wife, Diana Hardcastle, also actress, and his two children, Alice and Weakened.

Career

Wilkinson made his beginnings on television in the middle of the years 1970, and worked on various British series. He was noticed for his role of Mr. Pecksniff in version 1994 of Martin Chuzzlewit (adaptation of Life and adventures of Martin Chuzzlewit of Charles Dickens). He makes some appearances with the cinema before taking part in the film The Full Monty in 1997.

This success was followed by Oscar and Lucinda, Wilde, Shakespeare in Coil, the Patriot, Eternal sunshine off the spotless mind, Normal, the Exorcism of Emily Pink, Batman Begins, In the bedroom, Separate Lies.
