Tom Shanklin

Tomos George L. Shanklin , more known under the name of Tom Shanklin , was born the November 24th 1979 in Harrow, London, (England). It is a player of Rugby to XV, which plays with the team of Wales since 2001, evolving/moving at the station of three quarter centers (1,88  m for 98  kg). He plays with the club of the Cardiff Blues.

Career

In club

He played for the London Welsh and the Saracens before joining the Cardiff Blues in 2003.

He plays with Cardiff Blues in Coupe of Europe (6 matches and 2 tests in 2004-05) and in Celtic league.

He is the son of Jim Shanklin which was also international Welsh.

In national team

Shanklin played for the team of Wales of less than 19 years, less than 21 years and in team A.

It disputed its first test match the June 17th 2001, against the team of Japan.

Shanklin disputed two matches during the world cup 2003.

After having been a substitute of luxury, it became titular in 2004, marking eight tests into four test matches, including four against the team of Romania.

It disputed three test matches with the team of the British Lions.
