Tom McVie
Tom McVie (born the June 6th 1935 with Trail in Colombia-British) is a former player and a former trainer of Hockey.
Career of player
McVie begins professional hockey in 1956 - 1957 while playing in the international Ligue of hockey for the Toledo Mercurys. Two seasons later, it joined the Western Hockey League for a career of about fifteen seasons. Thereafter, it turns over to play in the LIH and it puts an end to its career of player in 1973-74.

In fact as of the season 1972-73, it occupies the post of trainer and player in the franknesses where it passes. During the 1975-76, it replaces Milt Schmidt as a trainer of the Capitals of Washington and keeps this place until the medium of the Saison LNH 1978-79. He becomes then the trainer of the Jets of Winnipeg, which is then a frankness from the Worldwide association of hockey. He accompanies the Jets at the time of their entry in the LNH.During the season 1983-84, it replaces Bill MacMillan with the head of the Devils of the New Jersey, station which it will occupy only a few months before leaving the place to Doug Carpenter. Devils make this year there, the worst season of their history.
Thereafter, it will occupy the post of trainer in the American Ligue of hockey for the Mariners of Maine then it turns over in the organization of Devils for trainer their firm team: the Devils of Utica. In 1988-89, it receives the Trophée Louis A.R. Pieri as a better trainer of the season.
In 1992-93, it passes once again behind the bench of Devils, following John Cunniff then share the year according to becoming the assistant trainer of the Bruins of Boston for three seasons.
It becomes then trainer in ECHL for the Nailers de Wheeling for the season 1996-97. In 1997-98, it carries out its last season as a trainer for the Bruins de Providence in the LAH.
