Tom (river)

The river Tom (Russian Томь in ) is a river of Russia, in the south-west of the Siberia, and an affluent of Right Bank of the Ob. Its length is of 827  km and its basin cover approximately 62  000  km ². It takes its source in the Abakan mountains, septentrional prolongation of the Monts Altaï, and crosses the coal basin of the Kouzbass. The Tom river is thrown in Ob to about fifty kilometers in the North-West of Tomsk, after a unevenness of 185  m since its source.
