Tolypeutes matacus

The Tolypeutes matacus is one of the two species of the kind Tolypeutes. It is also called Quirquincho Bola .

It is a small armadillo of Argentina. Very fond of delicacies of insects, it consumes also plants. He does not live in burrows nor in holes. In the presence of danger, it is rolled up on itself and is put in ball, from where its local vernacular name of quirquincho bola.
