Tolkien Together

The Tolkien Ensemble (founded in 1995) is a musical Ensemble Danish of which the goal is to create “the first complete musical interpretation of the poems and songs of the Seigneur of the rings”, the trilogy of novels of John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. This unit published four CD between 1997 and 2005, where all the poems and songs of the Lord of the rings are put in music. The project was approved at the same time by the family of Tolkien and by the editor HarperCollins. The queen Marguerite II of Denmark authorized the use of her illustrations for the CD small pockets.

Among the permanent members appear Caspar Reiff and Peter Hall (composition, Chant and Guitare), Signe Asmussen (song), Öyvind Ougaard (Accordéon), Katja Nielsen (Contrebasse) and Morten Ryelund Sørensen (Leader and Violon).
