Affiliated with the formation of MLB of the Strait Tigers since 1987, Mud Hens play on level Triple-HAVe in International League. Founded in 1965, the team evolves/moves with the Fifth Third Field (10 300 places) since 2002. Between 1965 and 2002, Mud Hens played Ned Skeldon Stadium (10 197 places).

History

Attention not to confuse current Mud Hens with the frankness from the same name which operated in Toledo of 1896 with 1955. This first grinding of Toledo Mud Hens played in Interstate League of 1897 with 1900, in Western Association in 1901, in American Association of 1902 with 1913, in Southern Michigan Association in 1914 and American Association of 1919 with 1955 (champion in 1927). Toledo loses then its frankness in 1956 by transfer to Wichita (Kansas) under the name of Wichita Braves.

Toledo finds a frankness from Triple-HAVe in 1965 with a place in International League following the transfer of the Richmond Virginians to Toledo.
