Todd Beamer
Todd Morgan Beamer , born on November 24th, 1968 and deceased on September 11th, 2001 is a victim of the Attentats of September 11th, 2001. It was one of the passengers of the Vol 93 of United Airlines.
Todd Beamer, director of account for Oracle Corporation, lived Cranbury in the New Jersey. He was married with LISA Beamer, and had two wire, David and Drew. At the time of her death, his wife was pregnant and it gave birth to a girl, Morgan Kay, on January 9th, 2002, four months after the death of her father.
Embarked on board flight 93 of United Airlines, Todd and other passengers had learned by their cellphones that the World Trade Center had been attacked by diverted planes. Todd Beamer used a telephone located on the back of a seat and was put in relation to LISA Jefferson, of the customer service of United Airlines. It then announced that a passenger had been killed and, later, that a member of the crew had informed it that the pilot and the copilots had been forced to leave the cockpit and that they could have been wounded.
Todd was also on the telephone when the plane changed direction into travelling in south-east, a movement which briefly made it panic. Later, he said to LISA Jefferson that passengers of the plane projected to attack the hijackers. According to it, the last audible words of Beamer were “Are you guys ready? Let' S roll” (“are you ready, the guy? Allons-y”).
In 2003, its widow LISA Beamer published a book (written in collaboration with Ken Abraham) concerning Todd and heading Let' S Roll! : Ordinary People, Extraordinary Courage .
