To the 5 Boroughs is an album of Hip-hop Beastie Boys. The album is appeared the June 14th 2004 everywhere safe in North America, where it was launched the following day.
It is about the sixth album of Beastie Boys, and the first from the exit, six years earlier, of Hello Nasty . The title To the 5 Boroughs refers to the five districts which compose New York, from where the group is originating. The album is at the same time a homage to the town of New York recovering from the terrorist attacks of the September 11th, 2001 and a criticism of the policy of the President Bush. The two turns of the World Trade Center were voluntarily included in the drawing of New York which decorates the small pocket with the disc.
