Dire Dawa is a town of Ethiopia, located at 1220 m of altitude. It is the second most populated city country.

Dire Dawa emerges with the construction of the railroad free-Ethiopic which connects the port of Djibouti to Addis-Abeba. The railway reaches the plain To say Dawa in 1902, which becomes the terminus of the section coming from Djibouti until in 1912.
