Commander in Chief is a American Televised series in 18 42 minutes episodes, created by Rod Lurie and diffused between the September 27th 2005 and the June 14th 2006 on the network ABC. In France, the series was diffused between the 2 and the December 23rd 2006 in the trilogy of Saturday on M6 (episodes 1 to 12) and between the December 26th 2006 and the January 9th 2007 on Téva (episodes 13 to 18).

Synopsis

With died of the president of the United States of America, Theodore Bridges, following a Cerebral vascular accident, Mackenzie Allen, his Vice-president becomes the first woman to be reached this station.

Independent of any political party, the purpose of Mackenzie Allen was not to become president of the United States of America by accepting the post of vice-president. On its bed of death, Teddy Bridges even required of him to resign so that Nathan Templeton, the announcer of the Room of the Representatives, is named in his place. After having hesitated, she refuses considering that it did not have any right to ask him such a thing.

Comments

Commander in Chief is largely inspired by another series, At the White House , which is diffused on NBC. The differences come, obviously owing to the fact that it is a woman who occupies the function of president, but also that Commander in Chief is delayed much more on the presidential private life of the family members, contrary to At the White House who is before a a whole political series, presenting the wheels of the American democracy.

Deprogramming of the series
