This sport, far from being violent, request a good control of the gesture in order to obtain the movement ad hoc and the required result. It is necessary for that of patience, calm and perseverance.

The principle of the throw of knives is to succeed in planting a knife in a target at various distances. For that, one gives to the knife a light rotation. (1/2 turn, 1 turn, 1 turn and half, according to the distance)

The knife will have to be solid and pointed, the target preferably out of wooden.

With the circus

It is not rare to see in circuses of the launchers of knives launching around a human target. This exercise should be practiced only by qualified professionals: the accidents at the time of these spectacles are not rare.

Sometimes, these turns are not feats of skill but well of the Prestidigitation. " knives lancés" are in fact dissimulated by the launcher. The knives on the target spout out reverse by an unspecified mechanism of them. A dissimulated accomplice is often implied to synchronize the illusion.
