Tlaxcaltèques
Inhabitants of Tlaxcala, State landlocked in the Aztec empire . The Aztec ones preserved this State for the flowered wars (ritual wars to make prisoners in order to sacrifice them). On arrival of the Spanish , Tlaxcaltèques were combined with those and provided them warriors and a refuge in their city after the Noche Triste.
Owing to the fact that they had helped the Spaniards at the time of their conquest of the Mexico, Tlaxcaltèques enjoyed privileges compared to the other people of Mexico. They could carry firearms, have horses, farms.
Certains Tlaxaltèques was moved by the Spaniards in the north of Mexico to show to the natives of this area the sedentarisation, and also to work in the mines and the haciendas.
