Tizi Ougueni

Tizi-Ougueni is a village of the Petite Kabylie located in the Wilaya de Béjaïa in Algérie. Belonging to the commune of Adekar, the chief town of the village east H' Mo elected in 2004 and will not be it any more until 2008.

Tavelot, located at the extreme North.

Population

The population of Tizi-Ougueni is approximately 500 inhabitants. The inhabitants of the village are savage defenders of “the amazighity” (or “berberity”) and speak the Kabyle about the Petite Kabylie.

Activities

Every summer takes place:

Of the tournaments of Football organized by the village where the inhabitants clash between them.
Of the festivals occasional with an environment directed by the “D.J. Karim environment” and many singers: Bilal, Hakim, H' med and Karim called Farid Gaya.
Harvests of fruits of summer (Fig, Pear, Grape…).

Every Winter takes place:

Projects

Construction of an any news Mosque replacing the old one.
Consolidation of the road carrying out towards Adekar.
Installation of arrived of Water in all the dwellings of the village.
