Tiv

The Tiv are people of the West Africa. They constitute approximately 2,5% of the total population of the Nigeria, and a full number of 2,2 million individuals in the whole of Nigeria and the Cameroun. The traditional grounds of Tiv are in the states of the Benue, the Taraba and the Nasarawa in the oriental party of Nigeria.

Several members of Tiv can recall their ancestors in East Africa, in the north of the Morocco, in Spain and with the Portugal. They are regarded as people bantou. The ethnologist Laura Bohannan provided good descriptions of the life of Tiv.

The Tiv diaspora is in several places of the sphere, as with the the United States and the the United Kingdom. In these countries, they have associations as the TRANSFERRED where the members can be assembled and discuss of the stakes concerning their people throughout the world, and particularly in Nigeria.
