Tirynthe (in Greek old Τίρυνς / Tíryns ) is old a quoted Greek located at the south of the plain of Argolide.

Inhabited at the beginning of the Bronze Age, it was colonized by the first Greek invaders.

The powerful cyclopean walls high towards 1400 av. J. - C. are always visible.

In the Greek Mythology, this city is associated with Mycènes and Héraclès.
