Tinnie headstock

The headstock Tinnie is a Poupée which makes a real baby just like. Created by the Raynal company and begun again by the Jamarex company in 1983, it is produced with the the United Kingdom by Palitoy and is distributed by Miro Meccano, the last born under the “Raynal label” which disappeared in 1982.

History

In 1978 - 1979 the Tinnie headstock arrives on the markets of the toy French, Belgian and Dutch. The distribution is limited geographically but the merchandizing is extremely developed as well as the range of articles suggested.

Description

The Tinnie headstock is out of hard matter PVC of approximately 35 centimetres declined in fair version , brown of hair and a black third of skin. The very first version is Tinnie blonde with small feather beds, come then the brown one and the black one to the short hair. There exists also a version with the long hair which is very rare. There exists also small Tinnie , the little sister of Tinnie, identical to the standard version but of approximately 20 centimetres height. The little brother of Tinnie, Tinou is rounder in his proportions.

The arms and the legs of the headstocks are articulated with kneecaps with orientation 360°, the hair is short and of buckled aspect. The eyes are gray blue for Tinnie brown and fair and coppered for Tinnie black. The mouth has an opening to introduce there tétine and the Biberon which are useful in the natural mechanism of the wee and the tears of the headstock.

Tinnie was delivered in boxes blue square and yellow in two versions: the initial version and the version luxate. Each box comprises a feeding-bottle, tétine and two layers. According to the version, there can be also a brush, a comb as well as a medallion with its wrist with additional behaviors for the version luxates.

The basic behavior is a dress in general but that varies according to the periods and the countries where one will find three behaviors different: the version n°1 (white dress and pink), the version n°2 (dress flowered with let us tons orange) and the version n°3 (overall white zone at small multicoloured points). The merchandizing which was developed over several years undoubtedly explains the various boxes and behaviors of the headstock.

Mechanism

How Tinnie makes wee: it is necessary to make him drink a feeding-bottle, press on its belly and lean it ahead.
How Tinnie cries: it is necessary to make him drink a large feeding-bottle, to put its tétine to him and to press several times on its arm.
