Tinderbox (software)

Tinderbox is a tool which makes it possible to check automatically if the code always compiles.

Compilations are carried out with regular time intervals on various platforms (Linux, Windows, Mac)

  • If compilation occurs well, the indicators are with the green

  • If compilation occurs well but that the final tests failed, the indicators pass to the orange
  • If compilation cannot be carried out (too many errors), the indicators pass to the red (and on the Mozilla project, one sees flames appearing thus that the message: " The Tree is Burning! ")

The logs of compilation are available in order to make it possible the developers to identify the origin of the errors of compilation.
