Tillandsia
Tillandsia is a kind of plant of the family of the Bromeliaceae , as well as the Ananas. This kind includes/understands more than 400 species, either épiphyte S, or terrestrial, coming primarily from the American continent (Florida-Argentina).
The tillandsias épiphytes, most, are sometimes called “girls of the air”, because of their propensity natural to cling everywhere where the conditions allow them: telephone wire, branches of trees, barks… The sheets, with silver plated color, are covered with cells able to absorb ambient moisture. The roots, when they exist, are used only as support.
