Tijuana is more the big city of the Mexican State of Low-California and the chief town of the municipality of Tijuana. It is called TJ .
The Années 1920 deeply modified Tijuana with the Prohibition with the the United States. Many Americans passed the border for drinking and playing in all legality. Giant casinos opened, like Agua Caliente. Caesar Cardini directed some restaurants in the city for this period, like the current hotel Caesar' S (also called Caesar' S Palace) on the main street, now famous Avenida Revolucion.
The international events of the following years had major effects on the city. Tourism increased significantly thanks to the innumerable Americans coming with Tijuana for his night life. Moreover, a great number of Mexicans coming from all the country started to settle in Tijuana, tripling its population. Between 1940 and 1950, the city passed from: 21971 with: 65364 inhabitants.
The night life and tourism started to decrease in the Années 1950, the city started to seek to attract family customers.
