Tibère III
Tibère III Absimare is Byzantine emperor of 698 with 705.
He arrives at the capacity by a coup d'etat, with the assistance of the Patrice Jean and deposits the emperor Leonce II, which itself had reversed the basileus Justinien II Rhinotmède in 695.
Tibère III fact of undergoing in Leonce the same torment that this last had used towards its predecessor, namely ablation of the nose ( rhinokopia ), this amputation drawing aside of the claiming throne in theory possible or deposed emperor. But Justinien, off-set in the Crimea under the reign of Leonce II, manages to escape and obtains the assistance of the Bulgares which restores it on the throne in 705.
Under its reign the Moslem opening in Africa continues without he managing to suppress it. It gains however some successes in Syria of north in 700 and manages to take again part of the Arménie.
Tibère III, with Leonce II, is one of the first victims of the cruel repression which falls down then on Constantinople.
