Tianshui
Tianshui (天水; Pinyin: Tiānshuǐ) is a city of the province Gansu in China.

The population of the prefecture was estimated at: 3450000 inhabitants in 2004.
Culture and religions
On the silk route, Tianshui is the first city met in the province of Gansu, when one comes from Xi' year. It kept most of its old nature, in particular of the traditional houses out of wooden.The most outstanding site of the area is that of the Grottes of Maijishan, one of the whole of Buddhist caves most important of all China with those of Datong in the Shanxi, of Luoyang in the Henan and of Dunhuang in the Gansu. The 194 caves of this unit, bored in a circular hill, contain many clay statues and stone as well as murals.
The city is the seat of a évêché catholic. One speaks the dialect there about Tianshui of the Mandarin Zhongyuan.

The city-prefecture of Tianshui exerts its jurisdiction on seven subdivisions - two districts, four counties and a autonomous county :- the district of Qinzhou - 秦州区 Qínzhōu Qū ;
- the district of Maiji - 麦积区 Màijī Qū ;
- the county of Qingshui - 清水县 Qīngshuǐ Xiàn ;
- the county of Qin' year - 秦安县 Qín' ān Xiàn ;
- the county of Gangu - 甘谷县 Gāngǔ Xiàn ;
- the county of Wushan - 武山县 Wǔshān Xiàn ;
- the autonomous county today of Zhangjiachuan - 张家川回族自治县 Zhāngjiāchuān huízú Zìzhìxiàn .
