The era Tianhan , or You IEN-han (100 - 97 av. J. - C.) (Chinese traditional: zh-Hant 天漢; simplified: Zh-Hans 天汉; Pinyin: Tiānhàn ; litt. “Sky of Han”) is the eighth Chinese era of the emperor Wudi of the Dynastie Han.
At the time of the 4th year of Taichu (101 av. J. - C.), the Wudi emperor comes to end from the Dayuan and receives their tribute which constitutes several thousands of horses of a quality quite higher than those of which laid out Han then. Wudi then wishes to benefit from the circumstances to attack the Xiongnu and marks its decision by proclaiming the era of the “Sky of Han”.
Chronicle
; 1 year (100 av. J. - C.):- Wudi sends Su Wu as an ambassador near the Xiongnu. The Chanyu Qiedihou wants to rejoin it at its sides as an adviser and wants to oblige it to go. To save its dignity, Su Wu tries to commit suicide with its sword but is saved in extremis by the doctors xiongnu. Refusing to join Xiongnu in spite of torture, Su Wu is off-set with the Lac Baïkal.

- Li Ling loses a battle against Xiongnu and is forced to go. At the Court of Han he is shown of treason and the historian Sima Qian is the only one to take his defense. The Wudi emperor takes this defense like a personal criticism and condemns Sima Qian to be castrated.
