Tiéba Traoré

Tiéba Traoré was a king of the Kénédougou, born in 1845 and died in 1893.
Wire of Mansa Daoula Traoré which reigned of 1845 with 1860, Tiéba Traoré assembles on the throne in 1866. It carries the kingdom to its apogee. It fixes the capital at Sikasso where it makes build its palate as well as a defensive wall, one touched, long 9 6 meters km and high, to resist the attacks of the armies of Samory Touré. He also fights against the French colonizers who besiege the city between 1887 and 1888. In 1888, it signs a treaty of friendship with the French and leaves to the conquest while fighting against Ouatara in current Burkina Faso.
With died of Tièba Traoré, it is his/her brother Babemba Traoré who succeeds to him.
