Thuringes
The league of Thuringes is formed among the " German of the North Sea ". Constituted after 453, it takes the grounds of origins of the confederation of the Alamans when the latter migrates towards the south. The disappearance of the hunnic Empire on this zone restores an authority specific to the people of the Warnes and Angles, which form a majority aristocracy among the others (Chauques, Jutes, Frisons and Saxons).
As the league remains apart from the Roman Empire, no Latin chronicler speaks about it; to describe to them Protohistoire is thus possible only by the archaeological Cultures found on the grounds where they lived.
Inevitably, their ground will bear their name of Thuringe thereafter. Taking into account the composition of the league, these grounds are probably those of the first Duché of Saxony.
A legend founder of the mérovingiens, written under the mérovingiens with the 8th century, place them dominant Aristocracy as grandmother of Clovis Ier (the king by which the Saliens forwards towards the dynasty mérovingienne).
