Thuraya , is a system of satellite phone covering mainly the the Middle East, the Africa and the Western Europe. It is an established company with Abou Dabi, with the United Arab Emirates.
It is based on two satellite geostationary, placed respectively at the top of the Indian Ocean and the the Mediterranean.
Its principle of operation is simple for the user who can with the choice put a Carte SIM of the operator, or his own chart SIM of its usual operator (who will invoice his communications then to him).
The system also allows the reception of data transmission " data" , the sending and reception of the SMS and fact office of Receiving GPS (positioning by satellite).
The sending of free SMS is possible by Internet HTTP: /services.thuraya.com/sms.html, towards the Thuraya users.
