Thuidium tamariscinum
Thuidium tamariscinum is a rather current terrestrial foam moderate forests. It is a small elegant foam, ramified, whose form makes think, as implies it its scientific name, of the foliage of the Thuja or that of the Tamaris.
It is the most current species and most cosmopolitan of the kind Thuidium . However, to differentiate it with certainty from the other species from the same kind, a microscopic examination is necessary. The end of the sheets comprises in particular only one point.
It can also be confused first of all with Hylocomium splendens , but this other foam species has a central vein often coloured in red.
