Normalized Claire Thrower , born Norma Austin the February 5th 1936, is a Athlète Australia which did not run on the 100 m haies¢80 m hedges.

With the Olympic Games of summer of 1956 with Melbourne, it gained the bronze medal of the 80 m hedges behind its compatriot Shirley Strickland and the German Gisela Köhler.

With the Plays of the British Empire and the Commonwealth of 1958, it gained the 80 m hedges.

Thrower equalized the world records of the 80 m hedges in 1960 but did not manage to qualify itself for the final of the Olympic Games of Rome.
