Through the large plains

Through the large plains ( Across the Lime pits ) is an account of voyage of Robert Louis Stevenson. It recalls the second stage of its voyage towards the California carried out in 1879. Initially published in the form of articles in the review Longman' S Magazine in July and August 1883, the account is published in volume at Chatto & Windus in 1892.

Synopsis

Having carried out the crossing of the Atlantic since Glasgow under the conditions described in the Emigrant amateur , Stevenson unloads with New York. Begin then the crossing of the the United States, of is in west to rejoin San Francisco in California, at the end of a voyage in Train twelve days.
