Thrones (hierarchy angelica)
In the religions of the Book, the Trônes constitute one of the choruses of the celestial hierarchy of the angel S.
In the Cabal, this chorus is the seventh level of the celestial world. It is controlled by the Archange Binael and its planet is Saturn.
According to the Pseudo-Denys Aréopagite, Christian author anonymous of the 5th century, the thrones constitute, with the Séraphin S and the Chérubin S, the first hierarchy - that which is held closest to God. He indicates on their subject:

“As for the name of thrones very sublimes and very luminous, it indicates the complete absence in them of any concession to the lower goods (…), their aptitude to be received in a total impassibility, far from any material stain, all Visitations of Théarchie, the privilege which they have to be used as seats with God and their vigilant zeal to open with the divine gifts. ”
