Thromboxane

The thromboxanes belong to under category of the Lipide S called éicosanoïde. They are produced in the Thrombocyte S by the thromboxane-A synthase starting from the endoperoxides produces by the Cyclo-oxygénase (COX) starting from the arachidonic Acide.

The thromboxanes are Vasoconstricteur S, they generate an increase in the blood pressure. They activate the aggregation of the plates and contribute with blood coagulation and the Thrombus or blood clot of or its name. They are in homeostatic balance in the circulatory Appareil with the Prostacycline S.
