Throats of Areuse
The Gorges of Areuse are between Noiraigue and Boudry in the Canton of Neuchâtel in Suisse. They are an appreciated place of the hikers who can follow the tormented way of the Areuse. Cascades, ravines with a tumultuous water and small lakes are visible in the throats. Caves are also present in the area, the Hollow-of-Van the is not far from the throats.
They appear on a stamp (1,80 FS) of the series “Signs of the zodiac” published by the Swiss Poste between 1982 and 1986.
