Thrice

Formed with Irvine, California, in 1997, Thrice is a group of Post-hardcore and melody Punkcore. The members of the group met whereas they attended the school. Thrice gives its support at various organizations of charity.

Their last album, Vheissu , strongly move away from the formula which had led them to success with their preceding albums. The group chose a turn experimental and composed a slower album (except for brilliant “the Image off the Invisible”) and air, with the undoubtedly more worked melodies, with the use of new instruments, like a piano Rhodos. Dustin also modified its way of singing, largely giving up the cries of the hardcore.

Since Vheissu, their sound became much alternate, and even progressive metal with the tendencies alternative influenced by the punkcore. It is a style very different from their first albums.

Their last project, The Alchemy Index , constitutes a project of 4 album representing the 4 elements (Fire, Eau, Air and Ground). Their east project left under Vagrant Records. During the recording of this project, Thrice broke the bonds which they had with Island Records. This project consists of two shutters. The first shutter, The Alchemy Index: Flights. I & II - Fire & Toilets , are available since October 16th, 2007. The second shutter of the project, The Alchemy Index: Flights. III & IV - Earth & Air, should be available for spring 2008.
