Description
They are some 75 height cm birds with a white plumage (except the Ibis of Australia) on the body. The head bald person, the neck and the legs are black. The nozzle is powerful and downwards curved. The two sexes are similar.
Distribution and habitat
One finds them in the hot areas of the Old man-World, in Asia of the South, Oceania and sub-Saharan Africa. They very often live in the marshy areas with not very deep water.
Food
They nourish fish, Amphibians, other aquatic animals and insects.
Reproduction
They nest in bands in large nests in trees or bushes and lay 2 to 4 eggs
