Threesome and Foursome

Rule 29 of the Règles of Golf frames the practice in teams of three ( Threesome ) or four ( Foursome ) players, where the partners of the same team play alternatively the same ball.

29-1. General rule

With the golf on a course during the turn, in a threesome or a foursome, the partners must play alternatively of the starting surfaces and alternatively play of each hole. The blows of penalty do not affect the order of play.
