Three Young Detectives

the Three Young Detectives ( The Three Investigators ) is a series of American detective novels for the Jeunesse.

Having had several authors writing their adventures (the principal author and creator being Robert Arthur), the French edition of Green Bibliothèque names as author Alfred Hitchcock, who " présente" the series, as it lent its name to collections of police news or anguish. These works used its name for better drawing the attention.

Synopsis

Making known itself like the three young detectives , they inquire in businesses going from supernatural until the dark criminal intrigues.

Characters

Three young detectives

Being of course three, their symbol is the Question mark. They have their own calling card which has three consecutive question marks, which very often attracts the questions of people with whom they show them, requiring what they mean, sometimes if it is due to their own doubt in their capacities. They always answer that represents the mystery and the enigmas which they have to solve. Their currency: " Detections in all genre" (or according to volume, " Investigations in all genre" , etc)

Supporting characters

  • Alfred Hitchcock : The famous scenario writer was the first customer of the detectives, then became a kind of Mentor for them during the first thirty volumes, " préfaçant" each one of their adventures (work of the author, of course) and finding the heroes at the end to discuss the business and of its outcome. The publisher Random House paid to use its name legally. With its " vraie" died in 1980, Hitchcock required even more money; it was replaced by a fictitious character, Hector Sebastian. The last editions states-uniennes changed volumes so that Hitchcock does not appear any more and is replaced by Hector Sebastian.
  • Hector Sebastian : A former detective become writer, author of novels best-sellers. He took to the place of Hitchcock in the series as of the blind man who put full the sight of it.

  • Skinny Norris : Young hooligan of an easy family, it is always to put sticks in the wheels of the three young detectives of which it takes pleasure to make fun. He goes sometimes until collaborating with criminals, more by idiocy that delinquency.
