Three Tenors
the Three Tenors is the name given to a series in concerts joining together the three Ténor S Plácido Domingo, Jose Carreras and Luciano Pavarotti.
The trio began its collaboration at the time of a concert given to the Thermes of Caracalla, with Rome, the finale day before of the World cup of the FIFA organized in Italy, on July 7th 1990. To this occasion, the chief Zubin Mehta directed the orchestra of musical May Florentin and the orchestra of the opera of Rome. This first concert was given to collect funds intended for the foundation created by Jose Carreras and was also a means for Domingo and Pavarotti to welcome their colleague and friend of return after a treatment successful against leukemia.
The three artists sang together in particular with the Dodger Stadium with Los Angeles, at the time of the finale of the Football world cup of 1994, with the Champ de Mars close to the Eiffel Tower, with Paris, at the time of the tournament of 1998 and with Yokohama, during the world cup 2002. They also occurred in other cities of the world, generally in stages.
