Three Bruise

Three Tales (for Three tales ) is a musical work and Multimédia of Steve Reich and his wife, the Vidéaste Beryl Korot, created in May 2002 with the festival of Vienna in Austria.

This collaborative work is not easily classable. It is not exactly a opera, but could approach the shape of musical theater, with a video support near to the performance. It is especially manner of a philosophical and historical tale putting in prospect three technological advances symbolic systems (the airship Hindenburg, in 1937; American nuclear tests on the atoll of Bikini of 1946 to 1958; and the mammalian first Cloning of the ewe Dolly in 1996) with three moments of the modern history of which the two first are associated with tragic consequences (the Second world war and the Cold war).

It is the second collaboration led of the Reich/Korot couple, after The Cave made up in 1993.
